Or if I get my subject solid, the final output has a half transparent green screen still in the back (even if the matte shows it as solid black). If I manage to get to the point where all my green is removed, then half of my subject is removed as well. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it look better. Given Primatte's reputation, I'm sure this is because of something on my end I am doing incorrectly. Not only is it not any better, but my results are not even close to useable. I wanted to try something a little better for this, so I downloaded the trial of Primatte to see how much better it may work. I can get an okay key using AE's Keylight/Spill Suppressor.
While the green screen is far from perfect (we had to shoot outdoors, and the wind was creating some waves in it), I have enough experience with green screen clips to know it is more than adequate. I shot a TV spot yesterday, which required in part to be in front of a green screen, and I shot everything in 4K ProRes RAW. Primatte Keyer 5 is the industrys most popular tool for fast, automatic chroma-keying.
